We are hiring a Senior SQL Developer / SQL DBA for our office in infopark, Kakkanad, Kochi to be a part of a product development team to design, develop, implement, configure, fine tune, document and maintain the product database (MS SQL Server) ensuring high availability and consistent performance of the product that meets or exceeds the standards set by the company and meets the requirements and expectations of the client.

We are  a pioneer in offering client-centric, robust business solutions based around its enterprise solutions and applications and is acknowledged as leader amongst the peers. Based on the growing demands, it is has set up extended applications development and support team in Kochi.

The teams will handle its existing applications portfolio in terms of product development ongoing support and maintenance, develop and deliver solutions for new initiatives and also participate in application modernization program. Towards this, Kott Software is looking for highly skilled Senior SQL Developers / SQL DBA to contribute towards the product development and meet client deliverable and new initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Modelling of high-quality database solutions.

• Designing optimized database objects like stored procedures, functions, views etc.

• Tuning SQL queries for improved performance.

• Guiding development team for fine tuning complex queries and modifying database objects.

• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.

• Ensure availability, performance and security of the databases.

• Creating and Managing database users with required access.

• Develop and implement a suitable database maintenance plan to regularly back up the database and check the integrity of the backups

• Independently analyse, solve and correct issues in real time.

• Developing and documenting best practices for database design and development activities.

Qualifications

Must have :

• Graduate Engineer (CS/IT preferably) with a minimum of 4+ years of MS-SQL Server Development experience

• At least 3+ years of experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) of SQL Server Databases.

• Experience with database backups, restore and recovery models.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• General understanding or development exposure in SAAS / Cloud based applications is a plus
